‘Even The Day Of The Lord Is Near’

In 2011 when Egypt began their ‘Arab Spring’  as it was called, I went to the Bible.  And sure enough there were prophecies there about Egypt.  There are some that are fulfilled, some that are for ‘The Day Of the Lord.’  The day of the Lord refers to the endtimes.  The first chapter in Ezekiel that speaks of Egypt and the day of the Lord that caught my attention was chapter 30.  Now it starts like this:

The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!

3 For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God.

7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

8 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

10 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

11 He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

12 And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the Lord have spoken it.

13 Thus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph;(ancient memphis)  and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

The entire chapter is worth reading.  I highly recommend reading it.  What I find very interesting is that indeed Nebuchadnezzar did conquer the armies of Egypt, and carried spoil back for their pay as it say’s, but there is no historical record that says they destroyed Egypt as is described in the Bible.  So that is yet to be fulfilled.  Take special note of the fact that Ezekial’s word from God includes ‘the men of the land that is in league with Egypt.’  HELLO!  That would be us.  Right now, obama is so far into Egypt and the brotherhood that we will never separate him or us.

Chapters 30,31 and 32 are very descriptive of the destruction that God brings onto Egypt.  God is not done yet.  And he’s not done with those who side with them.  Remember in Revelation 10:5 –7  The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever.  Who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the Prophets.

I found this verse very interesting, so before the 7th trumpet sounds the mystery of God would be FINISHED as He DECLARED TO HIS SERVANTS THE PROPHETS.  So we find ourselves back to Ezekiel.  These prophecies that God gave the ancient prophets will culminate in the end time revelation of Jesus Christ!  They all culminate and end together!!!  The prophecies about Egypt, Damascus, Israel, all help to form the endtimes ‘Day of The Lord.’ Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Joel and all the ‘minor’ prophets all culminate in the day of the ‘Lord’.   All these events today that are steamrolling ahead like a snowball down hill, with Libya, Egypt, Damascus, Israel, and Iran all these prophecies will culminate in Revelation for the return of Christ, and the revealing of the Mystery of God, and the King of Kings!

Isaiah says in 40:28 ‘And His understanding no one can fathom!’

The problem is that we have been looking at these prophecies as a straight line that has to be one right after the other as in linear time. (Definition of LINEARa (1) : of, relating to, resembling, or having a graph that is a line and especially a straight line : straight (2) : involving a single dimension)

That’s where the confusion comes in.  I know I have been so confused at times that I didn’t know what to think.  But what if the Mystery of God uses a cyclical time line.  God’s time is different than ours.  What if He used a cyclical pattern of time  for His prophets? (cy·clic adj.Of, relating to, or characterized by cycles: a cyclic pattern of weather changes. Recurring or moving in cycles: cyclical history.)

Think about it, pray about it, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and discernment.  But this is what I got from studying and asking the Holy Spirit for guidance.  We are closer than you think!!!!  Look at it from the prophets, and even the way Jesus looked at it.  How many times did he say ‘Those that have ears will hear, and those that have eyes will see.’  And even John say’s  in Revelation 13:18  ‘Here is wisdom.  Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast…..’  Again, we hear about he who has wisdom.  So pray for wisdom, guidance and knowledge, and let the Holy Spirit guide you, but know this:  God is warning His watchmen, and we are sounding the trumpets, because we are much, much closer than anyone thinks!!!  ‘Come unto me all ye who are labored and heavy laden.’  Time is short, Jesus is calling your name, will it be written in the book of life, or will it be blotted out.  Will you be sorted out with the sheep or the goats? Will you take the wide path to destruction or the narrow path that few will find?  Will you take a stand for Christ or will you follow Antichrist?   Come soon time is short.

  1. Whoever is at Egypt’s helm, he may implement US armaments to destroy the dams. I doubt Libya will share some of Khadffi’s (sp) aquifer. [AWL]

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has said “all options are open” to deal with any threat to his country’s water supply posed by an Ethiopian dam.
Mr Morsi said he was not “calling for war”, but that he would not allow Egypt’s water supply to be endangered.
Egypt was apparently caught by surprise when Ethiopia started diverting the Blue Nile last month, amid works to construct a hydroelectric dam.
The river is a tributary of the Nile, on which Egypt is heavily dependent.

It says the Blue Nile will be slightly diverted but will then be able to follow its natural course.
“Egypt’s water security cannot be violated at all,” Mr Morsi said on Monday. “As president of the state, I confirm to you that all options are open.”

“If Egypt is the Nile’s gift, then the Nile is a gift to Egypt,” he said, quoting popular sayings about the river in an emotive televised speech.
“The lives of the Egyptians are connected around it… as one great people. If it diminishes by one drop then our blood is the alternative.”
Analysts say Mr Morsi could be using the issue to distract attention from severe domestic political and economic challenges.

Sudan is also reliant on Nile waters.
Egypt cites a colonial era ruling to claim a right to the majority of the Nile’s waters for itself and Sudan, but Ethiopia says the ruling is outdated.
Mr Morsi said Egypt had no objection to development projects on Nile basin states, “but on condition that those projects do not affect or damage Egypt’s legal and historical rights”.
Last week, Egyptian politicians were inadvertently heard on live TV proposing military action over the dam.
